10,219 Assistant Teacher Posts Open, Applicants with Smoking Habit Not Eligible

The Directorate of Primary Education has announced recruitment for 10,219 revenue-funded ‘Assistant Teacher’ positions in government primary schools.

Position: Assistant Teacher

Number of Posts: 10,219

Educational Qualification: A minimum second class or equivalent CGPA (2.25 on a 4-point scale, 2.8 on a 5-point scale) in a Bachelor’s or Bachelor (Honours) degree from a recognized university. Any third class or equivalent GPA at any level in education is not acceptable.

Salary Scale: 11,000–26,590 BDT

Grade: 13

Age Limit: As of 30 November 2025, applicants must be at least 21 years old and at most 32 years old.

Applicants with smoking habits or any type of drug use are not eligible.

Certificates and photographs must have the name and seal of a verifying officer (gazetted officer of 9th grade or above) below their signature.
