28 New Dengue Cases Reported in a Single Day

In Narayanganj, 28 new dengue cases have been confirmed in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of cases this year to 798.

This information was confirmed in the daily report issued last night, Sunday, 21 September, by the District Civil Surgeon’s Office.

 

According to civil surgeon sources, the newly diagnosed patients are receiving treatment at the following facilities:

It is noteworthy that 285 cases were identified in September alone, marking the highest monthly incidence for the year.

 

In the past 24 hours, 18 patients have recovered and returned home, though the number of patients still under hospital care remains high.

So far this year, a total of 768 patients have recovered. No dengue-related deaths have been officially confirmed in the district. Reports of fatalities circulating on social media are currently under verification.

 

Moshiur Rahman, the District Civil Surgeon, advised the public to take effective mosquito control measures, including:

  • Keeping homes and surrounding areas clean
  • Eliminating stagnant water
  • Destroying mosquito larvae
  • Using mosquito nets regularly

Additionally, the District Health Department is conducting various awareness campaigns to increase public understanding and encourage preventive practices.
