Bangladesh has recorded 619 new dengue cases and one death in the past 24 hours, according to a report released on Saturday (18 October) by the Health Emergency Operation Centre and Control Room of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
The dengue situation remains a cause of concern as hospitals across multiple divisions continue to report a steady influx of patients.

The DGHS confirmed that hospitals across the country continue to receive new patients daily, reflecting the ongoing spread of the mosquito-borne disease.
In the past 24 hours alone, 1,129 dengue patients were discharged from hospitals nationwide. This brings the total number of recoveries this year to 55,963.
