93 Posts Announced in Local Government Division Recruitment

The Local Government Division has issued a recruitment circular for a total of 93 positions in the 9th and 10th grades under the district councils. The application process will continue for one month and must be completed online. Applications will open on Wednesday, 19 November 2025.

Posts and Qualifications

Assistant Engineer
Number of posts: 44
Educational qualification: A four-year bachelor’s (honours) or equivalent degree with at least a second class or equivalent CGPA in Civil or Water Resources Engineering from a recognised university.
Grade: 9
Salary: 22,000–53,060 BDT

Sub-Assistant Engineer
Number of posts: 49
Educational qualification: A minimum four-year diploma in Civil Engineering, Civil Wood, Construction, or Environment from a recognised institute or educational institution.
Grade: 10
Salary: 16,000–38,640 BDT

Age limit
Applicants must be between 18 and 32 years of age on 19 November 2025.

Application fee
The application fee is 200 BDT. For underprivileged citizens, the fee is 50 BDT for all grades.

Instructions for applicants

Candidate selection will involve screening (MCQ) (where applicable), written and oral examinations. Only candidates who pass the written test will be eligible for the oral examination.

The schedules and results of the MCQ (where applicable), written, and oral examinations will be published on the Local Government Division’s website (www.lgd.gov.bd). Examination schedules will also be sent via SMS to the mobile number provided by the applicant.
