Football fans witnessed an electrifying night of action as the UEFA Champions League delivered a flood of goals on Tuesday. Almost every match turned into a goal fest, with major clubs like Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), Barcelona, Arsenal, and Inter Milan securing emphatic wins.

Across nine matches, a staggering 43 goals were scored, featuring six teams netting four or more goals, along with five red cards and six penalties — a truly chaotic night of European football.

Bayer Leverkusen, once a surprise package under Xabi Alonso last season, looked a shadow of themselves as PSG ran riot at the BayArena. The French giants scored four goals in the first half, with Desire Doue netting twice and Kvaratskhelia, Nuno Mendes, Ousmane Dembélé, and Vitinha each adding one.

Leverkusen’s Robert Andrich and PSG’s Illia Zabarnyi were both sent off in the first half, reducing each side to ten men. Despite two goals from Alex Garcia, Leverkusen could not contain PSG’s relentless attack.

Under pressure after their previous defeat, Barcelona bounced back in style with a 6–1 triumph over Olympiacos.
Spanish midfielder Fermín López claimed his first career hat-trick, while Marcus Rashford scored twice and Lamine Yamal added another.

Olympiacos’ Santiago Heze was shown a red card early in the second half, opening the floodgates for Barcelona’s four-goal spree thereafter.

Arsenal, who eliminated Real Madrid in last year’s quarter-finals, overwhelmed Atlético Madrid 4–0.
Viktor Gyökeres scored a brace, while Gabriel Magalhães and Gabriel Martinelli added one each.

Meanwhile, Inter Milan comfortably beat Union Saint-Gilloise 4–0, with goals from Denzel Dumfries, Lautaro Martínez, Hakan Çalhanoğlu, and Francesco Pio Esposito.

Manchester City defeated Villarreal 2–0, with Erling Haaland once again on the scoresheet. The Norwegian striker has now scored 24 goals in 14 matches this season, finding the net in 12 consecutive games.

Newcastle United triumphed 3–0 against Benfica, thanks to two goals from Harvey Barnes, while Borussia Dortmund claimed a 4–2 victory over Copenhagen.

The only major upset came as Napoli suffered a heavy 2–6 defeat to PSV Eindhoven, marking one of their worst European performances in recent years.
