A Young Man Travels from China to Bhola for Love

A Chinese young man named Luzhao (30) has travelled all the way from China to Bhola after falling in love with a young woman named Ferdousi Akter (20). The incident has created a stir in the locality. On Monday dawn, Luzhao arrived at a house beside Jinnah Doctor’s residence inside the embankment near the sluice gate in Ward No. 3 of Shibpur Union under Bhola Sadar Upazila.

Ferdousi Akter is the daughter of mosque muezzin Mohammad Amanullah and Moriam Bibi of the same village. She is the fifth among six siblings. On the other hand, Luzhao is the eldest of four children of Roshan Lun and Huang Qiang Jian, residents of Chengdu Province in China. He is known to be a businessman.

According to local sources, Ferdousi and Luzhao became acquainted a year ago through a social media app called ‘World Talk’. From their initial acquaintance, their communication gradually developed into friendship and later into a romantic relationship. To take their relationship towards marriage, Luzhao landed at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka at 11 am on Sunday on a flight from China. From there, Ferdousi and her family members received him and brought him to their village in Bhola early Monday.

Regarding the matter, Ferdousi Akter said that they met through the World Talk app a year ago, and their friendship gradually turned into love. He has come to Bhola to marry her. He has expressed his intention to convert to Islam, marry her, and take her to China. Although she had some hesitation initially, that has now faded.

Ferdousi’s mother, Moriam Bibi, said that after learning about her daughter’s acquaintance with the young man, the family looked into the matter. He arrived in Bangladesh yesterday. They received him from the airport, and preparations for the marriage are underway.

The Chinese youth, Luzhao, said that he has come to be with the person he loves. He wants to marry her and is very happy.

Local residents Md Sirajul Islam and Md Hasan said that such an incident has never occurred in their village before. It is quite sensational that a young man travelled from China to marry a local girl. They cannot understand his language and do not know much about him. People from surrounding areas are gathering to see him.

In this regard, Md Jia Uddin, Inspector (Investigation) of Bhola Sadar Model Police Station, said that the young man and woman came to them and said they wished to marry. The matter has been reported to higher authorities.
