Sawant, who had been with the actor for over 27 years, passed away on Sunday, leaving the actor devastated. Abhishek took to social media to share an emotional tribute to his dear friend and collaborator.

In his post, Abhishek expressed how Ashok had been with him since the very beginning of his acting career. “Ashok was not just a member of my makeup team; he became a part of my family,” Abhishek wrote. The actor shared a heartfelt photograph with Ashok Sawant, reminiscing about the deep bond they had formed over nearly three decades of working together. “For 27 years, Ashok Dada and I worked side by side. From the very first day, he did my makeup. He was not only a part of my team but also a part of my family,” he shared on his social media.

Abhishek also revealed that Ashok’s brother, Deepak, had been Amitabh Bachchan’s makeup artist for almost 50 years. This connection only strengthened the ties between the Bachchan family and the Sawants, making the loss even more personal for Abhishek.

The actor further noted that due to Ashok’s health issues in recent years, he was unable to visit the film sets regularly. However, even during his time of illness, Ashok would always check in when Abhishek had shoots scheduled, reflecting the deep bond they shared.
