According to both the gatekeeper of the residence and several officers involved in the operation, the accused behaved aggressively and issued threats during the arrest.
On Sunday, 27 July, Hannan, the gatekeeper of the residence, stated:

OC Hafizur Rahman of Gulshan Police Station confirmed:
“We are receiving complaints via phone calls about these individuals being involved in extortion in Gulshan, Badda, and Banani. However, no written complaint has been filed yet. We’ve asked the callers to submit formal complaints so that we can take legal action.”
