Actor Arifin Shuvoo Suffers Burns on Shooting Set

Filming for the upcoming film Malik is taking place quietly at a secluded location outside Dhaka. Although the entire unit intended to keep the production under wraps, several scenes from the set have already leaked on social media.

Amid these developments, it has been learned that actor Arifin Shuvoo was injured during the shoot.

While performing an action sequence, the popular Dhallywood actor caught fire. Despite the seriousness of the accident, those involved with the film have remained tight-lipped.

Multiple sources from the shooting unit confirmed that controlled flames were meant to be applied to the lower part of Arifin Shuvoo’s body for an action scene. All preparations had reportedly been made correctly.

However, once the camera started rolling, the situation escalated. Flames suddenly spread to Shuvoo’s leg, rising higher within seconds.

Unit sources further stated that Shuvoo initially attempted to extinguish the fire himself, but the flames continued. Overwhelmed by the intense heat, he eventually collapsed. Crew members then rushed in and put out the fire. Though the flames were extinguished, the actor sustained burn marks on his leg.

Following the incident, director Saif Chandan decided to halt shooting, but Shuvoo reportedly refused to step back. After receiving first aid, he returned to the set and completed all scheduled scenes for the day.

Sources also note that despite his injury, the actor is continuing routine shooting with the burn on his leg.

When approached for comment about the incident, the director declined to make an official statement.

Malik, an action-based film set for release during the upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr, stars Arifin Shuvoo alongside Bidya Sinha Mim. The screenplay has been written by Siddiq Ahmed.
