The Afghanistan Under-19 cricket team is scheduled to visit Bangladesh in October for a bilateral series comprising five Youth One-Day Internationals (ODIs).
The series, running from 25 October to 10 November, will act as vital preparation for both sides ahead of the upcoming ICC Under-19 World Cup. In addition to the five ODIs, the Afghan team will also play a warm-up match prior to the official fixtures. The detailed tour itinerary is yet to be announced.
The Bangladesh Under-19 players have been given a short rest following their recent home series against England U19, which ended in a 1-1 draw. Out of the scheduled five Youth ODIs, only two matches were completed, while the remaining three were abandoned due to persistent rain.
Before meeting England, Bangladesh also faced Ireland U19, though that fixture too was washed out by continuous rainfall.
