“AI-Powered Lockdown!”: Anni’s Shocking Allegation

BNP’s Joint Secretary General Shahid Uddin Chowdhury Anni has claimed that there are no people in the lockdown announced by the Awami League. He alleged that the party is using Artificial Intelligence (AI) to create fake images and simulate a lockdown. According to Anni, a few drug-addicted and unruly young people are paid to secretly gather on main roads in the early hours of the morning, staging brief processions and setting buses on fire. These images are then circulated on Facebook, he alleged.

Anni made these comments while addressing a freshman reception at Janata Degree College in Lakshmipur on Thursday, November 13. The event took place on the college field in the Charshahi Union of the district.

Anni continued, “The Awami League of 1947, and their leader Sheikh Hasina—why does she have to flee? She was the Prime Minister, elected by her own vote. But now, she has become the Prime Minister of the dark night, the Prime Minister of occupation. So why did she have to flee? She has not done politics, and she hasn’t allowed others to do so either. She didn’t let us engage in politics either. This is why all political parties, under the leadership of BNP, have united against the Awami League and Sheikh Hasina.”

He also remarked, “Sheikh Hasina said that those who set fire to buses should be burned in the fire themselves. Now she has fled. Before escaping, she sent her relatives abroad. Sheikh Hasina said she would not flee, but she has indeed fled. However, this generation has not fled; they will lead Bangladesh in the future. During Hasina’s rule, many leaders and activists were attacked, cases were filed against them, and many families have faced disappearances and murders. Since independence, the Awami League has ruled the country through corruption, misrule, and terrorism. They had the Mujib Bahini and the Rakkhi Bahini under their control.”

The special guests at the freshman reception included the college’s founder member and former president Shibbir Mahmud, acting principal Bellal Hossain, district BNP member Anwar Hossain Bacchu, and district Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal president Hasan Mahmud Ibrahim.
