Ajay Gifts Kajol a Dream Library on Honeymoon

When it comes to discussing Bollywood’s most enduring and beloved couples, the names Kajol and Ajay Devgn inevitably come up. Their long-standing marital journey has been as successful as it is captivating, with a love story that continues to inspire fans.

Recently, during an event, Kajol’s mother, Tanuja, reminisced about her daughter’s early days of romance. She revealed that Kajol was the first to confide in her after falling in love. One day, Kajol approached her mother and simply said,
“Mom, I’m in love.”

Naturally, Tanuja’s curiosity was piqued. “With whom?” she asked. Kajol, however, initially kept the mystery alive:
“You’ll know just by looking into his eyes…”

Slightly exasperated yet intrigued, Tanuja pressed, “Whose eyes?”
It was then that Kajol finally revealed the name:
“His name is Ajay… Ajay Devgn.”

Though surprised, Tanuja immediately recognised him. She mentioned that Ajay is the son of the famed action director and actor Veeru Devgn. She praised both father and son, noting that just as the father was handsome and talented, Ajay too possessed similar charm—perhaps even more striking.

Kajol herself has shared that their first meeting took place on a film set. That initial encounter sparked a friendship, which eventually blossomed into love. Friendship, she says, has always been the strongest foundation of their relationship—one that remains unshakable to this day.

Reflecting on marriage, Kajol has openly acknowledged that every relationship experiences ups and downs. However, a good partner consistently helps you rediscover yourself, teaches you, and enriches your life.

Ajay Devgn also has an interesting personal anecdote: before the release of his first film Phool Aur Kaante, he changed his name. Born Vishal Devgn, he adopted “Ajay” to distinguish himself from another actor named Vishal. Later, in 2009, he made a minor adjustment to the spelling of his surname.

Another sweet memory is tied to their wedding. A book lover, Kajol had set one condition before marriage—that their home must have a library. Ajay fulfilled this wish and even gifted her the dream library as a honeymoon present.

In every sense, their relationship began simply and sincerely, and over the years, it has grown deeper, more mature, and truly inspiring.
