Al-Arafah Islami Bank signs agreement with Provati Insurance

Al-Arafah Islami Bank PLC, one of Bangladesh’s foremost Shariah-compliant banks, has formalised a strategic partnership with Provati Insurance PLC through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). The collaboration aims to streamline premium collection, strengthen data security, and introduce real-time reporting and efficient financial reconciliation across the operational network of both organisations.

According to a press release, this partnership is expected to set a new benchmark in digital financial services, enhancing customer experience while improving operational efficiency. It represents a step forward in integrating innovative banking technology with insurance services, allowing corporate clients to benefit from a more secure and effective collection management system.

The MoU was signed during a ceremony at Al-Arafah Islami Bank’s head office on Sunday. On behalf of their respective institutions, Md. Abdullah Al Mamun, Deputy Managing Director of Al-Arafah Islami Bank, and Md. Zahedul Islam, Chief Executive Officer of Provati Insurance, executed the agreement.

The event was attended by senior officials from both organisations, including: Provati Insurance’s Additional Managing Director Shakhawat Hossain Mamun and Deputy Managing Director Newaz Mohammad Rashedul Karim; and Al-Arafah Islami Bank’s Senior Assistant Vice President Md. Emdadul Haque, Assistant Vice President Abu Kawsar, and Senior Principal Officer Nazmul Hossain. The presence of these key executives underscored the significance of the collaboration for the financial sector.

The partnership will allow for enhanced coordination between banking and insurance operations, facilitating smooth, automated premium collections, timely reporting, and accurate financial reconciliation. Clients of both organisations will now enjoy faster, more transparent, and technologically advanced services.
