Another NBR Official Sent on Compulsory Retirement

In the wake of ongoing protests within the National Board of Revenue (NBR), yet another official has been sent into compulsory retirement. The latest to face such action is Lokman Ahmed, a Grade-10 Tax Inspector at Tax Zone-2, Dhaka.

This decision was made official through a gazette notification signed by NBR Chairman Md Abdur Rahman Khan on Sunday, 3 August.

Multiple other officials involved in this movement have either been suspended or compulsorily retired in recent weeks.
