At Least 42 Killed in Horrific Bus Accident on Mecca-Madina Route

In Saudi Arabia, a passenger bus collided with a diesel tanker on the route from Mecca to Madina, resulting in a horrific accident. At least 42 Indian Umrah pilgrims were killed at the scene.

 

All the deceased pilgrims were residents of the southern Indian state of Telangana. The casualties include women and children. According to sources, of the 42 dead, 20 were women and 11 were children.

The accident occurred early Monday morning local time. The pilgrims were travelling from Mecca to Madina. Most passengers on the bus were asleep at the time of the accident.
