SAN FRANCISCO — Bad Bunny’s electrifying Super Bowl LVIII halftime performance ignited a dramatic surge in global streaming, with Apple Music reporting record-breaking activity across playlists, charts, and music discovery platforms in the immediate aftermath of the show.
Apple Music, a sponsor of the halftime event, revealed on Monday that Bad Bunny’s curated show playlist quickly became the most-streamed set on the platform. The Puerto Rican superstar dominated the Apple Music Daily Top 100 Global chart, placing 23 tracks in the Top 100, including nine in the Top 25 and five in the Top 10. His hit single “DtMF” surged to No. 1.
Several of these entries marked significant chart comebacks. Six tracks re-entered the Daily Top 100 Global for the first time since at least February 2025, while his collaboration “I Like It” with Cardi B and J Balvin returned to the chart for the first time since January 2020.
Apple Music also highlighted the worldwide impact of the performance. Bad Bunny’s latest album, Debí Tirar Más Fotos, appeared on album charts in 155 countries, reaching the Top 10 in 128 territories and topping the charts in 46 nations, including Mexico, Colombia, Chile, Brazil, Germany, France, and Spain.

| Peak U.S. Listening Cities | Los Angeles, New York, Chicago, Dallas |
| Shazam Recognition Increase | +400% |
In the United States, Apple Music identified Los Angeles, New York, Chicago, and Dallas as the leading cities for Bad Bunny streaming over a six-day period. Music discovery platform Shazam mirrored this surge: the Sunday performance marked the largest Shazam activity ever recorded for a Latin or non-English-language artist, with recognitions across Bad Bunny’s catalogue increasing more than 400% compared with his daily average. The most-Shazamed moments included “Die with a Smile” featuring Lady Gaga and “Lo Que Le Pasó a Hawaii” with Ricky Martin.
While streaming platforms such as Spotify also track post-event listening trends, Apple Music’s figures provide an immediate snapshot of engagement in the hours following the performance. These metrics combine streaming behaviour with Shazam recognition and geographic insights, offering an early indication of how the halftime show translated into global audience interaction.
Oliver Schusser, vice president of Apple Music and Beats, emphasised the trajectory of Bad Bunny’s career:
“We have had the pleasure of working with Bad Bunny since 2016, and watching him grow into this massive global superstar has been incredible and exciting, but not at all surprising. His fans on Apple Music are very engaged, and I think these numbers reflect his huge influence and impact on music culture.”
The Super Bowl performance not only reinforced Bad Bunny’s global stature but also underscored the growing power of non-English-language artists to captivate worldwide audiences in real time.
