Bangladesh A will commence their Top End T20 series mission on Thursday by facing Pakistan A in Darwin, Australia. The tournament also features the Nepal national team alongside four top franchises from Australia’s Big Bash League (BBL).
This marks Bangladesh’s return to the event after their debut in 2024, when they competed as the High Performance (HP) team. That year, they finished as runners-up after being defeated by the Adelaide Strikers in the final.
At a press conference before departure, Bangladesh A captain Nurul Hasan Sohan emphasised their ambition for the tournament.
“The goal is simple: to win the trophy,” Sohan said. “It’s the goal of everyone… from the players to the team management. We believe we should win the trophy.”
Bangladesh A began their tour on a positive note, securing a 37-run victory in a warm-up match against DIXI.
