Bangladesh Army Launches 97th BMA Long-Term Recruitment

The Bangladesh Army has announced the recruitment of Officer Cadets for the 97th Bangladesh Military Academy (BMA) Long-Term Course. Interested candidates are invited to apply online by 14 March 2026, as per official instructions.

Applicants must meet specific educational and physical criteria, with eligibility extending to candidates appearing for the 2026 Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) examinations. The recruitment process is highly competitive, combining academic performance, physical fitness, and age requirements. Educational Qualifications

Candidates must fulfil one of the following criteria based on their education system:

Age and Other Conditions

Age: As of 1 January 2027, candidates must be 16.5–21 years; for serving armed forces personnel, 18–23 years.

Nationality: Must be Bangladeshi.

Marital Status: Unmarried; divorced, widowed, or separated individuals are ineligible.

Age Proof: Affidavits are not accepted.

Application Procedure and Fees

Applications must be submitted online. The total non-refundable fee is BDT 2,000, payable in two parts: BDT 1,000 via mobile banking (bKash, Rocket, or Teletalk) and BDT 1,000 as the online registration fee.

This recruitment represents a prime opportunity for aspiring officers to serve in the Bangladesh Army.
