Since the start of this year’s dengue outbreak, Bangladesh has witnessed 182 deaths and 43,173 reported cases.

By comparison, last year, dengue claimed 575 lives and infected 101,214 people nationwide, highlighting a slightly lower mortality rate so far in the current outbreak.

Health authorities continue to urge the public to take preventive measures, including eliminating stagnant water, using mosquito repellents, and seeking immediate medical attention if symptoms such as high fever, severe headache, joint pain, or rashes occur.
