The Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) has announced the ticket prices for the upcoming Asian Cup qualifier between Bangladesh and Hong Kong, scheduled to be held at the Bangabandhu National Stadium on 9 October.
Ticket Pricing and Sale Details
Similar to the previous Bangladesh vs Singapore match, tickets for the Hong Kong game will be sold exclusively online. This time, BFF has entrusted Quicket with the responsibility of ticket distribution.
During the Singapore match on 10 June, spectators faced severe difficulties due to server problems with the previous ticketing company, ‘Tickify’. To prevent a recurrence, BFF has included a contractual clause: if similar technical issues arise, the ticketing company must compensate BFF with BDT 1 million.
Competition Committee Member Tajwar Awal explained to the media: “Seven companies expressed interest, and after evaluating pricing and service quality, Quicket was selected. Their system can handle up to 100,000 logins simultaneously. If ticketing operations are disrupted, Quicket will pay BFF BDT 1 million in compensation. Instructions for obtaining tickets will be published on BFF’s official Facebook page ahead of schedule.”
Learning from the previous match, BFF has handed full responsibility to the event partner this time. Coordination will include the National Sports Council, police, and military to ensure the smooth conduct of the match. Security arrangements similar to those used for the Bangladesh vs Pakistan cricket match will be implemented for both the Bangladesh vs Hong Kong and Bangladesh vs India matches.
Tajwar Awal also stated that the federation has incorporated sponsors into the process this time:“While there were no errors previously, we have learned from experience. This time, a tripartite agreement will be signed between the federation, the event partner, and the sponsor. Regardless of the sponsor, a portion will go to BFF, though the exact percentage will not be disclosed.”
