Mohammad Alwar Uddin Haji Abu Syed, a Bangladeshi expatriate residing in Al Ain, United Arab Emirates, has realised the fruits of six years of perseverance by winning a staggering 1 million dirhams (approximately BDT 3.4 crore) in the weekly draw of the popular ‘Big Ticket Abu Dhabi’ lottery.

Alwar Uddin, who has been living in Al Ain for 21 years, had been participating in the lottery for the past six years alongside a group of nine friends. Despite years of regular participation without any major wins, he never gave up. His patience and persistence finally paid off in Series 283, marking a life-changing moment for the determined expatriate.

Speaking about his win, Alwar Uddin said, “I was completely speechless. After so many years of trying, I never truly expected this outcome.” He added that this victory had strengthened his belief that patience and consistency can bring unexpected rewards.
