Bangladeshi Worker Killed in Saudi Missile Attack

A Bangladeshi national, Mosharraf Hossain (38), has tragically lost his life in a missile attack on a residential building in Saudi Arabia. Hailing from Kirtankhola Madhyapara village, Sakhipur Upazila, Tangail, he was the son of Md. Sujat Ali.

The attack occurred on Sunday night around 9:00 PM Bangladesh time at a compound in the Al-Kharj region of Saudi Arabia. The Saudi Civil Defence Agency confirmed the incident through a post on social media platform X, while local colleagues of Mosharraf informed the family of his death.

Mosharraf had moved to Saudi Arabia nearly eight years ago in search of employment. He had last visited Bangladesh two years ago. Remarkably, he spoke with his elder son Mahim (14) over a video call just half an hour before the attack, discussing preparations for the upcoming Eid festival.

His family includes his wife Kobori Akter, elder son Mahim, a ninth-grade student at a local high school, and younger son Mihan, who is in the first grade at a madrasa.
