He further stressed the need for a strong, coordinated social resistance against drugs, alongside sustained enforcement efforts. According to him, combating drug trafficking requires both strict border control and active community engagement to reduce demand and supply simultaneously.
Colonel Hasan also reiterated that BGB remains firmly committed to preventing narcotics smuggling along the border and will continue to carry out operations with full dedication and preparedness, even at significant risk.
The programme was also attended by several senior officials from different agencies, including Lieutenant Colonel M M Zillur Rahman, Commanding Officer of Feni-based BGB Battalion 4; Assistant Director Md Nazrul Islam Khan; Executive Magistrate Chayan Barua; Customs, Excise and VAT Department officer Bikash Sarkar; Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) Camp Commander Squadron Leader Md Mizanur Rahman; and representative from the Department of Narcotics Control in Feni, Noor Mohammad, among others.

They noted that coordinated operations have significantly contributed to repeated seizures and successful disruption of smuggling attempts in recent months.
The destruction of seized narcotics marks another step in the authorities’ ongoing campaign against illegal drug trade, which continues to remain a major challenge in border-adjacent regions of Bangladesh.
