In his resignation letter, Zabur wrote:

As such, I hereby voluntarily resign from all roles within the party, with immediate organisational effect.”

NCP’s Response

When contacted about Zabur’s resignation, Nazim Uddin Shahan, the Chief Coordinator of NCP’s Sylhet District, stated around 11:00 PM on Thursday: “He has informed us verbally, but we have yet to receive any official written notice. Until we do, it cannot be formally acknowledged that he has resigned. However, we will be sitting with him soon to discuss the matter further.”

The resignation of a key district-level figure, particularly one so personally connected to the tragic events of the July Movement, has drawn attention within the political circles of Sylhet and beyond.
