A tragic road accident occurred today on the Noakhali-Dhaka road in Sonaimuri Upazila, resulting in the death of a bus driver and injuries to 20 others following a head-on collision between a bus and a truck.
The bus driver who lost his life has been identified as:

According to Md. Mobarak Hossain Bhuiyan, Officer-in-Charge of Chandraganj Highway Police Station:“The accident occurred when a bus operated by ‘Ekushey Paribahan’ hit a stationary sand-laden truck from behind. The bus driver lost control of the steering, resulting in 21 passengers, including the driver, being injured.”

The injured were immediately transported to Sonaimuri Upazila Health Complex for medical treatment. The doctor on duty declared Belayet Hossain dead upon arrival.
