One of the most influential figures in shaping Bengali band music is Mahfuz Anam James, widely known as Nagar Baul James. Today marks the birthday of this legendary rock star.
James was born in 1964 in Naogaon, though he spent his childhood and adolescence in Chittagong.
Ignoring familial objections, he began his journey in music at a young age, eventually leaving his home to pursue his passion. His professional career started from Aziz Boarding in Chittagong, laying the foundation for his future in the music industry.
In 1980, James formed a band called ‘Feelings’, releasing their first album ‘Station Road’ in 1987.
