Residents of the capital may experience a predominantly cloudy sky today, with light fog forming in certain areas, according to the latest forecast from the Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD). The agency has indicated that from 7:00 am for the subsequent six hours, the sky will largely remain overcast, although dry conditions are expected to persist. Temporary cloudiness is likely to continue until the afternoon.

Light winds are expected to blow from the north and northwest at a speed of 5 to 10 kilometres per hour. Daytime temperatures are predicted to remain largely unchanged compared with yesterday and the past few days.

This morning, Dhaka recorded a minimum temperature of 17.1 °C. At 6:00 am, the temperature was 17.2 °C, with relative humidity at 87 per cent. Meteorologists have reassured the public that, despite the presence of light fog and cloudy skies, these conditions will have minimal impact on normal daily activities.

A summary of the recent weather conditions in Dhaka is presented below:

According to BMD experts, the next 24 hours are likely to feature unsettled skies across Dhaka and other districts within the Dhaka Division, although the probability of rainfall remains very low. The combination of light fog and cloud cover may reduce visibility during the night and early morning, particularly outside the city, prompting officials to advise motorists to exercise caution.

Government meteorological data further indicates that today’s weather in Dhaka will be primarily dry with mild cold. While daytime temperatures are expected to remain stable, humidity levels may rise at night, potentially creating a slightly cooler sensation. Residents are advised to plan outdoor activities accordingly and remain mindful of visibility conditions on roads during the early hours.
