Cocktail Blast Sparks Panic at University Gate

In a startling incident late on Monday evening, the main gate of Gopalganj Science and Technology University became the scene of a cocktail bomb explosion, sending shockwaves of fear through students and staff. The event occurred at approximately 9:45 pm, according to eyewitness reports from the university campus.

Students present at the time reported that four individuals, riding on two motorcycles, approached the main entrance and hurled improvised cocktail bombs towards the gate. Dr Rajib expressed concern that the incident appeared to be a deliberate attempt by miscreants to create panic among students. “Our priority is the safety and security of our students. We are working closely with law enforcement to identify the perpetrators,” he stated.

A police communiqué issued at 12:05 am confirmed that both police and military personnel promptly arrived at the scene.
