Several cocktail explosions occurred in three different locations in Dhaka, the capital. From Saturday night to Sunday morning, these explosions took place, leaving one pedestrian injured. On the same night, miscreants also set a bus on fire.
Lima Khanom, duty officer at the Fire Service control room, said that late Saturday night, a bus parked in front of Begum Fazilatunnesa School in Hazaribagh was set on fire.
Earlier, at around 8:20 pm on Saturday, miscreants riding a motorcycle detonated a cocktail in front of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) building in Agargaon before quickly fleeing the scene.
Sher-e-Bangla Nagar Police Station’s Officer-in-Charge, Imamul Haque, stated that police conducted an operation in the area after the explosion and efforts are underway to arrest the suspects.
Around 11 pm on Saturday, another cocktail explosion took place near the Airport Railway Station, though no casualties were reported.
Assistant Commissioner of Ramna Zone, Mazharul Islam, stated that around 8 am on Sunday, another cocktail was thrown in New Eskaton of Moghbazar. It is suspected that it was hurled from the flyover. One person, named Abdur Basir, was injured in the incident.
