Couple Kills Three Children Before Taking Their Own Lives, Leaves Video Confession

In a shocking incident that has sent ripples through Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, the bodies of five members of the same family were discovered on Tuesday morning. Alongside the tragic scene, authorities recovered a recorded video message and a handwritten note on the wall, both apparently left by the father of the family.

Police have identified the deceased as Manish Kumar (35), his wife Seema Kumar (32), and their three young children: Hani (8), Priyanshi (5), and Pratik (3). According to a relative, the couple were married in 2018 and were generally regarded as a quiet, law-abiding family within the local community.

Concerns were raised when neighbours noticed that no one had left the house by the morning. Upon investigating, they forced open a door and discovered the bodies, immediately alerting local authorities. Initial observations suggested that the family may have ingested poison mixed with milk on Monday night, as a glass of milk was found near the bodies.

However, post-mortem examinations revealed a far more disturbing scenario. Manish Kumar was electrocuted, his wife Seema was found hanged, and the three children had been suffocated. Senior Police Officer Sholak Kumar stated: “The bodies were recovered from one of the rooms in the house. The circumstances are tragic and distressing for the local community.”

Before police arrived, Manish’s brother had peered into the house through a window. Finding no movement inside, he broke a wall to gain entry, only to find the entire family lifeless.

Adding further complexity to the case, a video message recorded by Manish prior to the incident was recovered. In it, he reportedly stated:

“We are ending our lives voluntarily. No one is responsible for our deaths. I request the police not to harass anyone. I am deeply saddened, and I appeal to everyone to avoid putting anyone in danger.”

He also addressed financial matters in the video, noting that he had recently sold a plot of land for ₹12 lakh, clarifying explicitly that the buyer bore no responsibility for what was about to happen.

A handwritten note was found on a wall inside the home, reading:

“We, Manish and Seema, are ending our lives voluntarily.”

Additionally, a diary belonging to the couple contained a similar suicide note.
