Current Gold and Silver Prices in Bangladesh

The price of gold in Bangladesh has been reduced once again following the latest adjustment by the Bangladesh Jewellers Association (BAJUS). According to the decision, the newly adjusted rates have come into effect from Saturday, 25 October 2025, and both gold and silver are now being sold at these revised prices.

BAJUS announced the price cut in a notice issued late on 22 October, lowering the gold rate by Tk 8,386 per bhori (11.664 grams).

According to BAJUS, the selling price of gold must include a mandatory 5% government VAT and a minimum 6% making charge as set by the association. However, making charges may vary depending on jewellery design and quality.

Previous Adjustment (19 October 2025)

Prior to this reduction, BAJUS had increased gold prices on 19 October, raising the 22-carat rate by Tk 1,050 per bhori, setting a record high of Tk 2,17,382 per bhori—the highest ever in the country’s market at the time.

In 2025, gold prices in Bangladesh have been adjusted 67 times so far — with 48 increases and 19 reductions.
In comparison, during 2024, the prices were revised 62 times, where 35 increases and 27 decreases were recorded.

Alongside gold, the price of silver has also been lowered. BAJUS reduced the silver rate by Tk 735 per bhori, bringing the 22-carat silver price to Tk 5,470 per bhori.
