Customs Stations to Remain Operational During Durga Puja Holidays

During the Durga Puja holidays, import and export operations at customs stations and houses will remain operational, despite the official public holidays.

This information was revealed on Tuesday, 30 September, through an order signed by Rezaul Karim, Second Secretary of the National Board of Revenue (NBR), Customs Policy Division.

The order states that, to ensure uninterrupted import-export trade across the country, necessary arrangements should be made to keep customs-related activities running on a limited scale on the official holidays of 1 and 2 October, coinciding with Durga Puja.

In total, government employees will enjoy a continuous four-day holiday from 1 to 4 October 2025. Despite this, customs operations will remain active to ensure the smooth continuation of international trade during the festive period.
