The Bangladesh Public Service Commission (BPSC) has announced the schedule for the third phase oral examinations of the 48th Special BCS. The oral tests will commence on 17 August and continue until 21 August.
This announcement was made public on Sunday (3 August) through an official notification issued by the BPSC.
During this period, oral exams will be conducted for 864 candidates who have provisionally passed the written test and are applying for the position of Assistant Surgeon.

For context, the results of the written (MCQ) examination for the 48th Special BCS were published on 20 July around 11:45 pm.
According to the signed notification by Masuma Afrin, BPSC Examination Controller (Cadre), 5,206 candidates passed the written test. Among them, 4,695 candidates qualified for the Assistant Surgeon posts, while 511 candidates passed for the Dental Surgeon posts. Those who passed the written exam will be eligible to participate in the oral test, which carries 100 marks.
According to BPSC sources, the government will appoint a total of 3,000 doctors through the 48th Special BCS, including 2,700 Assistant Surgeons and 300 Assistant Dental Surgeons.
