The tragic crash of a Bangladesh Air Force training aircraft at Milestone School and College in Uttara has now resulted in 19 confirmed fatalities, according to an official statement.
On Monday, 21 July, Dr. Saidur Rahman, Special Assistant to the Chief Adviser, confirmed the updated death toll.
He further informed that around 48 patients are currently receiving treatment at the National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery, and added that the government is actively working to ensure the highest level of medical care for those injured and burned in the incident.
Emergency Measures:
To facilitate urgent medical response, an emergency hotline has been activated at the National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery:
The burn institute’s main premises have become overwhelmed by the continuous arrival of burn victims, many of whom were transported by ambulance. The hospital grounds are filled with grieving and anxious relatives, making it difficult for police and Ansar personnel to manage the crowd effectively.
This devastating incident continues to unfold, with emergency services and medical professionals working tirelessly to provide critical care to the injured.
