A Dhaka University student was found dead in his rented accommodation in the Hazaribagh area of the capital after the door of his flat was forcibly broken open late on Thursday night, in a deeply unsettling incident that has prompted an ongoing investigation.
The deceased has been identified as 25-year-old Saiful Amin Simanto, a final-year student of the Chemistry Department at the University of Dhaka. According to initial accounts, he was discovered unconscious inside his residence on Moneshwar Road in Hazaribagh shortly after midnight.
