Did Salman Go Too Far? Viral Video of Tamannaah’s Reaction Fuels Debate!

Published: 17 Nov 2025, 02:30 pm

A recent performance from Bollywood stars Salman Khan and Tamannaah Bhatia during the latest Dabangg Tour in Doha, Qatar, has triggered a storm of controversy across social media. A video of their duet, which went viral shortly after the show, has drawn widespread criticism from online users, many of whom described the dance as “awkward”, “cringe” and “uncomfortable to watch”.

In the circulating clip, Salman and Tamannaah are seen performing to the romantic track “Dil Diyan Gallan”. However, viewers took issue with the way Salman attempted to inject romantic gestures into the routine. According to many commenters, these gestures felt “forced” and “misplaced”. Several even claimed that Tamannaah appeared visibly uneasy during parts of the performance.

One user commented, “I couldn’t even finish the video—it was painfully awkward.” Another wrote, “Cringe to the maximum level. She clearly looked uncomfortable.” The discussion soon spilled onto Reddit, where a long thread analysing the performance went viral within hours.

Salman performed several of his biggest chart-toppers, and while his earlier shows in different countries received warm responses, this particular performance has become the centre of a heated debate.

Several factors appear to have fuelled the criticism:

The visible age gap between the two performers, which has reignited an old discussion in Bollywood fandoms.

The relatively subdued audience turnout, which many viewers picked up on in the viral video.

A perceived mismatch in chemistry, with critics claiming Salman’s romantic stances did not align with Tamannaah’s expressions.

Neither Salman Khan nor Tamannaah Bhatia has issued any statement regarding the viral reaction. Industry insiders, however, believe that social media often amplifies negative sentiment more aggressively than necessary.

Nevertheless, the incident has ensured that the Dabangg Tour remains in the spotlight—albeit for reasons the organisers may not have anticipated.
