The Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Traffic Division has filed a total of 2,243 cases across various areas of the capital for violations of traffic laws.
On Monday, 29 September, this information was confirmed to the media by Deputy Commissioner of DMP Media and Public Relations, Muhammad Talebur Rahman.
He stated that the Traffic Division conducted operations throughout the city on Sunday, 28 September, during which the cases were filed. In addition:

The DMP also emphasised that its Traffic Division operations will continue across Dhaka to ensure law and order on the roads and maintain traffic discipline.
These measures form part of a broader effort by the DMP to improve road safety, enforce traffic laws, and prevent accidents in the capital.
