According to Robi, the primary factor behind the collapse of their marriage was an extramarital involvement between Dolly Sayantani and a driver named Biplab. The singer claimed that the affair was later substantiated, confirming suspicions that had long troubled him.

“Eventually, it became evident that my concerns were justified,” Robi explained on the podcast. “When Dolly visited Biplab’s village, media reports surfaced, and it was clear to everyone that my suspicions were correct. Nevertheless, considering Dolly is a mother now, I have no intention of revisiting this matter with undue bitterness.”

Robi elaborated on how the suspicion first arose. A phone contact saved as “Dulabhai” in Dolly’s mobile piqued his curiosity, prompting him to investigate further. He later discovered that “Dulabhai” was actually Biplab, a South Korean resident who worked as a driver. During a trip to South Korea, he had even driven Dolly and Robi on their visit.

The investigation deepened as Robi contacted Dolly’s family to verify the identity associated with that number. In consultation with Dolly’s elder brother, singer Badsha Bulbul, it was confirmed that there was no “Dulabhai” in their family, cementing the truth behind Robi’s suspicions. Armed with this confirmation, Robi Chowdhury decided to proceed with divorce.
