DUCSU Election: Seven Candidates Collect Nomination Papers on First Day

The first day of nomination paper collection for the Dhaka University Central Students’ Union (DUCSU) elections took place on Tuesday, 12 August. According to the Chief Returning Officer, Mohammad Jasim Uddin, a total of seven candidates collected nomination papers on the opening day.

Among the aspirants, two candidates are contesting for the position of Vice President (VP), while five are standing for the member positions.

Nomination papers began to be distributed from Tuesday morning and will continue until 18 August. Each day, candidates can collect the forms directly from the office of the Chief Returning Officer, located on the third floor of the Nawab Nawab Ali Chowdhury Senate Building, between 10:00 am and 4:00 pm. Completed forms must be submitted by 3:00 pm on 19 August.

Nomination papers for hall union elections can similarly be collected and submitted within the same period from the respective hall’s Returning Officer.
