Easybike Driver Beaten to Death in Narayanganj

An easybike driver named Momin Mia (30) was allegedly beaten to death in Fatullah, Narayanganj. Police have detained four individuals suspected of involvement in the incident.

The incident took place on Tuesday afternoon (28 October) in the Panchabati area of Fatullah.

The deceased, Momin Mia, was the son of Jalal Mia from Uttar Narsinghpur in Fatullah.

According to police and local sources, four young men brought Momin’s body to his home in the afternoon. Marks of severe beating were visible on different parts of his body. Locals, becoming suspicious, detained the four and handed them over to the police.

Family members of the deceased alleged that Momin was murdered in a planned attack, stating that his body bore multiple injury marks. They demanded justice for the killing.

Sub-Inspector (SI) Yasin Arafat of Fatullah Model Police Station said that the body showed multiple signs of assault. The remains were sent to Narayanganj General Hospital morgue for post-mortem examination. The four detainees are currently being interrogated.

Inspector (Investigation) Anwar Hossain of Fatullah Model Police Station told Bangla Tribune that preliminary investigations suggest that the victim had been beaten and punched, leading to his death. He added that three muggers allegedly attacked him during an argument related to drug use. “An investigation is under way; further details will be shared later,” he said.
