The effigy of National Citizens Party (NCP) chief coordinator Nasir Uddin Patwary was burnt in Noakhali for allegedly making derogatory remarks against BNP leaders. The program was organized by the Zia Cyber Force (ZCF) on Monday (November 3) night in front of the Noakhali District Lawyers Association office.
Earlier, the Noakhali unit of Zia Cyber Force arranged a discussion meeting at the association’s auditorium on the responsibilities and future plans of online activists working in favor of the BNP. The meeting was presided over by acting president Advocate Jasim Uddin Badol, while Noakhali District BNP convener Mahbub Alamgir Alo and member secretary Harunur Rashid Azad attended as chief guests.
Speakers at the meeting said that political opportunists like Nasir Uddin Patwary are now spreading propaganda against the BNP as part of a planned conspiracy. They added that although differences of opinion may exist in politics, making offensive remarks against leaders of other parties is not acceptable, as it misleads the public. They urged everyone to express opinions in a respectful manner.
Advocate Jasim Uddin Badol, president of the Noakhali Zia Cyber Force, stated that hidden powers are now visibly running propaganda against the BNP. He called on online activists to present the truth before the public with accurate information, photos, and evidence. He also emphasized the need to work in unity for whoever is nominated by the party under the paddy-sheaf symbol.
After the meeting, Zia Cyber Force and BNP activists held a protest rally and later burned an effigy of Nasir Uddin Patwary with his photo in protest of his derogatory remarks against BNP and its affiliated organizations.
