Ehteshamul Huq Khan Appointed Dutch-Bangla Bank CEO

Dutch-Bangla Bank PLC (DBBL), a cornerstone of Bangladesh’s private banking sector, has officially entered a new chapter of leadership. On Saturday, Md. Ehteshamul Huq Khan formally assumed the roles of Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, taking the helm of an institution renowned for its pioneering role in digital banking and financial inclusion.

The appointment follows the conclusion of Abul Kashem Md. Shirin’s distinguished eight-year tenure. Mr. Shirin, a prominent figure in the industry, reached the mandatory age limit for the position on Friday, 6 February. Mr. Khan is no stranger to the inner workings of Dutch-Bangla Bank. Before this elevation, he served for six years as the Deputy Managing Director and Chief Business Officer (CBO).
