“Election Journey Cannot Be Suppressed Through Intimidation”

Dr A Z M Zahid Hossain, a member of the BNP Standing Committee, has warned that the election process cannot be suppressed through threats or intimidation.

On Wednesday morning (13 August), after paying respects at the grave of BNP founder and late President Ziaur Rahman at Zia Udyan in the capital, Dr Zahid Hossain issued this warning.

Speaking to reporters, he stated that certain individuals have threatened to prevent the elections from taking place. “Through such statements, the echoes of authoritarianism can be heard,” he remarked.

He further emphasised that those attempting to obstruct the election through threats are not considering the voice or interests of the people.
