Emirates has announced a major expansion across Asia.

Emirates has announced a major expansion across Asia, unveiling plans to launch flights to three new destinations: Shenzhen (China), Da Nang (Vietnam), and Siem Reap (Cambodia).

Starting this summer, the world’s largest international airline will introduce:

  • Daily non-stop flights between Dubai and Shenzhen from July 1
  • Four weekly flights to Da Nang from June 2, via Bangkok
  • Three weekly flights to Siem Reap from June 3, also via Bangkok

All flight schedules are subject to government approvals, the airline noted.

Adnan Kazim, Emirates’ Deputy President and Chief Commercial Officer, emphasized the airline’s commitment to strengthening economic ties and connectivity in Asia.

“Our expansion into Shenzhen opens new doors for business and economic exchange between this technological powerhouse and global markets,” Kazim said.

He also highlighted Vietnam’s strategic importance in Emirates’ Southeast Asia network, particularly following the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) between the UAE and Vietnam.

With these new additions, Emirates will serve 24 destinations in East Asia with 269 weekly flights from Dubai.

First Middle Eastern Carrier to Serve Shenzhen

Emirates’ new Shenzhen route marks a milestone as it becomes the first Middle Eastern airline to serve China’s tech hub. The flights will be operated by the upgraded Boeing 777-300ER, featuring a four-class cabin, including the airline’s Premium Economy offering.

The airline has strategically scheduled flight times to optimize connections across Africa, the Middle East, Europe, and the Americas. Additionally, Emirates expects to transport 10 tonnes of cargo per flight, boosting high-tech and e-commerce exports from Shenzhen.

Expanding Footprint in Vietnam and Cambodia

Vietnam: The new four-times-weekly service to Da Nang (operating on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays) will be Emirates’ third gateway into Vietnam, following Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. The route will be operated using the Emirates Boeing 777, as part of the airline’s summer schedule.

Cambodia: Emirates will also introduce three weekly flights to Siem Reap on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, stopping in Bangkok. The service is designed to enhance leisure travel connections, particularly for passengers from France, the UK, Spain, Germany, Portugal, and Russia. Flights to Siem Reap will be operated by the two-class Boeing 777-300ER.

Emirates’ latest expansion reinforces its commitment to Asia’s growing travel and trade markets. With new direct links to China, Vietnam, and Cambodia, the airline is set to further strengthen global connectivity, boost tourism, and facilitate economic exchange in the region.
