Exports Maintain Steady Momentum with 1.77pc Growth in November

Bangladesh’s export earnings reached US$ 3,891.56 million in November 2025, recording a 1.77 per cent increase compared to the previous month and thus reinforcing the nation’s consistent export momentum.

During the initial five months of the Financial Year 2025–26 (July–November), total exports amounted to $20,028.59 million, which indicates a 0.62 per cent growth over the corresponding period of the preceding fiscal year, which registered $19,906.01 million.

While exports in November 2025 showed a 5.54 per cent year-on-year decrease compared to November 2024, the general monthly upward trajectory signals sustained resilience and adaptability across Bangladesh’s export sectors.

The apparel sector continues to serve as the backbone of the export performance, contributing $3,140.94 million in November 2025.

Both knitwear and woven garments maintained their role as key drivers of earnings, supported by robust contributions from leather and leather goods, agricultural products, jute and jute goods, home textiles, pharmaceuticals, ships, shrimp, and light engineering products. Collectively, these varied sectors strengthened the country’s export portfolio.

Among the primary export destinations, the United States and the United Kingdom sustained their leading positions, achieving growth rates of 4.20 per cent and 3.04 per cent, respectively.

Exports to several emerging and strategic markets also saw significant increases—China (23.83 per cent), Poland (11.57 per cent), Saudi Arabia (11.34 per cent), and Spain (10.46 per cent)—reflecting Bangladesh’s expanding global market presence.

Despite some year-on-year variations, the persistent month-on-month growth and solid performance across major sectors emphasise the resilience, competitiveness, and positive prospects for Bangladesh’s export industries in the international market.
