Fahmida, Imran Release First Duet Track

After nearly two years away from the spotlight, acclaimed Bangladeshi singer Fahmida Nabi has announced her return to the world of film music. She recently recorded a new song for the upcoming film Ontorborti, directed by S.M. Kaiyum. The release of this track has already generated significant excitement among music enthusiasts, particularly as it marks Fahmida Nabi’s first-ever duet with the popular singer Imran Mahmudul.

The new track, titled Tor Riin, has been composed by Rahul Kumar Dutta, arranged by Mushfiq Litu, and penned by director S.M. Kaiyum himself. Fahmida completed her vocal recordings at Mushfiq Litu Studio on Friday, while Imran Mahmudul’s portions are scheduled to be recorded later in the week.

Speaking about the song, Fahmida Nabi remarked:

Prior to this, Fahmida had recorded another song for the same film, Thak Na Dur-er Hoy. This track, also written by S.M. Kaiyum, with music by Rahul Kumar Dutta and arranged by Pintu Ghosh, explores the complex emotional landscapes of three central characters and sets the tone for the film’s narrative.

Ontorborti centres on campus romance, social isolation, and the professional struggles of an emerging artist. The film represents S.M. Kaiyum’s directorial debut and stars Ahmed Rubel, Abu Huraira Tanvir, and Nilanjona Neela in leading roles. Notably, this film also marks the final cinematic appearance of Ahmed Rubel.
