In a coordinated operation conducted late Wednesday evening, the Bangladesh Army and local police jointly apprehended Mahbubur Rahman Sajib, a 31-year-old local youth leader, in possession of an illegal firearm in the Moyendia Bazar area of Boalmari Upazila. The raid commenced at approximately 9:00 pm following intelligence reports indicating that an individual was carrying an unlicensed weapon in the bustling market area.
According to army sources, a team from the 15th Riverine Engineer Battalion, led by the Madhukhali Army Camp, collaborated with Boalmari Police Station to carry out the operation.
