Fiance Found Dead at Actress’ Residence

The lifeless body of the fiancé of rising South Indian Telugu actress Sohani Kumari was discovered at her flat in Hyderabad’s Jubilee Hills. The incident occurred on Sunday morning, 29 September.

The deceased, Sawai, was a practising medical doctor and originally from Rajasthan. He had met Sohani through Instagram, and their friendship gradually developed into a relationship. The couple became engaged in July last year and had been living together since.

On the morning of the incident, Sawai left the flat for work, followed shortly by Sohani. Upon returning at midday, Sohani found him hanging from the ceiling fan inside the flat and immediately notified the police.

Authorities recovered the body and sent it for post-mortem examination. A video message recorded by Sawai prior to his death was also retrieved from the flat. In the message, he explained that a combination of personal mistakes and mental stress had caused him prolonged suffering.

Sohani informed the police that Sawai had been emotionally distressed over past relationships, compounded by financial pressures, which may have contributed to his tragic decision.

The police are continuing investigations into the circumstances surrounding his death.
