A fire that broke out at the Standard Phoenix Coil Factory in the Bagerbazar area of Gazipur has been brought under control after three hours of effort. At around 4:00 PM on Wednesday (19 November), the fire was contained with the help of seven fire service units.
The incident occurred at 1:00 PM when a sudden fire broke out at the Standard Phoenix Coil Limited factory in Bagerbazar, Gazipur. Initially, the factory’s security personnel tried to control the fire. However, as the fire spread rapidly, they alerted the fire service. In response, seven units from Joydebpur, Shreepur, and nearby areas arrived at the scene and began working to control the fire.
During this time, the fire spread to the surrounding areas. The presence of flammable materials and coil manufacturing supplies at the factory caused the fire to intensify. After three hours of joint efforts from the fire service teams, the fire was brought under control by 4:00 PM.
Gazipur Fire Service’s Deputy Assistant Director Mamun confirmed the incident, stating, “Seven fire service units worked to control the fire. The situation is under control now, and surveillance continues at the site. The extent of the damage is not yet known.”
