Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) conducted a successful anti-smuggling operation along the Chauddagram border in Cumilla from Friday night through Saturday morning, seizing contraband goods valued at over Taka 1.22 crore.
According to Lieutenant Colonel Mir Ali Ejaz, Commander of BGB-10 Cumilla Battalion, the special patrol team intercepted the illegal items during a series of coordinated raids.

The confiscated goods, including the truck used to transport them, have been handed over to the Customs Department for further legal action.
Lieutenant Colonel Ejaz affirmed that regular anti-smuggling drives are ongoing to curb illegal cross-border trade and other criminal activities in the border areas.
“We remain vigilant to prevent any form of smuggling and are committed to safeguarding the integrity of our borders,” he added.
